Hello Ladies,

After a long thought I've decided to make a few changes to my stamp release and sketch challenge "system". CCM is still very new to the scrapbooking business, it is not yet a well known brand to scrapbookers out there. Releasing a new stamp every week may be a waste because the stamps are coming out so fast but without too many people knowing about the release. So I've decided to change the stamp release from weekly to bi-weekly. =)

The stamps will be release every other Monday, starting from June. May 31st is a Monday, so there will be a release on that day then the next stamp release day will be on 14th, then 28th. In this case, we will have more time to make more samples for each stamp and play the sketch challenges. So you are still making samples every week but you are promoting the stamp for 2 weeks instead of 1 week.

Starting from June, sketch challenge participants may have a chance to win a FREE stamp. They will have to post their project made with CCM stamps on their blog and submit their links in CCM community to enter the draw. This way I hope viewers will have more interests to CCM and draw more traffic to the shop.

All DTM is required to participate in the sketch challenge and promote the challenge on their blogs. (if in any occasion you are not able to participate in the challenge, please discuss with me at least 2 days in advance).

The sketch challenge will take place every Thursday. I will post out the sketch in the  DTM discussion every Monday so you will have time to prepare for the project. =) Note that the stamp release project and sketch challenge projects are not to be combined as 1 project. So each week you are to make a project for the new released stamp and a project for the sketch challenge using any CCM stamp. If you happen to win in the challenge (random draw) you may pick a stamp that you don't have.

So this is my plan for now. I'm posting this up early because I'm open for discussion. I would like to know if all the ladies are OK with this plan. Please feel free to leave a comment below if you have any other suggestions (or if I'm confusing you, I'm bad at explaining stuff... Lol) =)

That's it for now! *Back to sketching* New stamp is coming out tomorrow =)

Have a great weekend!!

Here's an example of my most updated idea of how the schedule works. I hope I can explain better visually.. lol .. click on image for larger view or download the image below.

Ok, I'll be first! What about doing the challenges every other week on the non-stamp release weeks?

That's a good idea Laura, I was thinking it might be too much work for each of you. How about if you all take turns on the challenge. For example Week 1 and 3 will be Laura and Jane, week 2 and 4 will be Kerry and Lorraine? This is for the sketch only.

Hi Ladies,

Jane has suggested the following, I think it's a good idea. What do you think? (I'm bad at rephrasing so I'm just going to copy and paste what Jane said...)

"having a challenge every other week opposite of your releases might be better than having a challenge every week. It still gives your company visibility and your DT to create a card for the new release and a second card the next week using the challenge with the new release. It also allows your releases to overlap... challenge cards will be reminders to followers and samples for new guests of the release the week before while the new release comes on the following week as something new. Does that make any sense? It's also really nice to see the entire DT doing a challenge instead of just a couple of samples. We could do a blog hop too... assign an order and we stick to it for every challenge blog hop. So you will be the start of the challenge and send your readers to Laura, who will send her readers to me... and I send them to Kerry, etc. Last person will send all blog hoppers to the forum."

But I would like you to make cards for the older stamps too... so what if for example, I'm releasing a new stamp called "ABC".

So the period starting from the date of a NEW STAMP release(Monday) until next week's Wednesday(the day before Thursday Challenge) we will be making 2 cards: one will be made with the NEW STAMP, another one will be made with any CCM stamp of your choice.

On the day of the Sketch Challenge, we will each have a project done with the NEW RELEASED stamp and we will be doing a blog hop to draw viewers to the community to play the sketch (please refer to Jane's idea)... ahh I hope I'm making sense, please let me know if you have no idea what I'm talking about.. lol

So basically exactly what I said, bwahahaha....release one week, sketch challenge the next... I'm in!!! And I like the ability to use any CCM stamp for the challenge. Great idea!

Lol yes Laura, close to what you said but not exactly. I want to use the new released stamp for the sketch challenge so that we can once again promote the new release. you may use other CCM stamps on the other card made in the same week...

I know my explanation is very bad... I don't even know what I'm talking about.. lol, so I've put up an example(scroll tp to the post) take a look at that schedule and you will understand more...

Let me know what you think =)

Is this a "general idea" calendar or is it supposed to be the month of June? My birthday falls on a Monday this year in June so I know the calendar is off. :)
